Our April Technology Wizards meeting will be Wednesday, April 9th, 12:00pm – 3:00pm at the Microsoft PacWest office located at 1414 Northrup (in the Pearl district).
Chris Harrison and Roy Seney from StorageCraft will be visiting us to speak about Maintaining Business Continuity Through Best Practices in DR Planning.
Some of the topics covered will include:
- Everyone backs up, but few recover.
- From crash to recovery in 15 minutes or less.
- DR Testing that is easier than falling off a horse (and less painful).
- P2P, V2V, V2P, P2V. Splat2Splat. We do that.
- Local vs. Offsite Recovery
- Managing your backups
- The state of Cloud Backup
Chris Harrison, StorageCraft Channel Sales Manager
With over 15 years of experience developing relationships with IT and professional services communities in software and storage, Chris provides both business development and technical expertise for StorageCraft. Prior to joining StorageCraft, Chris was involved in sales, channel and business development at companies such as AccessLine Communications, Compuware and UltraBac Software. Chris is based in Seattle, Washington, where he has access to great hiking, biking and world class golf.
Roy Seney, Senior Sales Engineer and Certified StorageCraft Engineer
Roy has 20 years of experience ranging from managing Top Secret Systems for the government (shhhh), to assisting Fortune 100-500 companies manage millions of documents. More recently, Roy ran a successful MSP business. After his successful 7 year run as an MSP, Roy wanted to help other MSPs protect their client’s data and joined StorageCraft as a Senior Sales Engineer. When not helping protect critical business systems, Roy enjoys spending time with his 1+ year old son, Benjamin, his wife Cassandra, and their two dogs, Daisy and Shadow.
Lunch will be provided for the first few minutes of the meeting, so get there early!
PARKING: Please park in the lot between NW 15th & NW 16th, NW Kearney and NW Lovejoy with the entrance on Kearney Street. There is a fee to park this time as the presenter is not from Microsoft. Also, if there is an attendant there, tell him/her you are a Microsoft meeting attendee. The lot is located underneath I-405. Plan to arrive early to find parking.
