Our June Technology Wizards meeting will be Wednesday, June 14th, 12:00pm – 3:00pm at the Microsoft PacWest office located at 1414 Northrup (in the Pearl district).
CARVIR and SentinelOne – Never Pay The Ransom
Nancy Williams and Jay Ryerse of CARVIR will tell us how we can ensure our clients never have to pay the ransom associated with ransomware attacks.
CARVIR is the Premier SentinelOne partner dedicated to serving the channel. They provide a fully-managed, advanced endpoint security solution that is designed to work with or replace your existing anti-virus solution. SentinelOne replaced the signature based model that has been failing for years with a behavioral engine that is scoring better than 99% success rate in blocking today’s most advanced threats. And in the event something does get through, they can roll back the threat, including ransomware attacks.
CARVIR was founded in early 2016 and is already making waves with their managed SentinelOne product. The truly unique offering, guaranteed to keep ransomware out of networks, has been seen receiving awards at many recent industry events, including RSA, ChannelPro, HTG, ASCII and several Technology Marketing Toolkit shows.
Nancy Willams is an energetic, well known face in the SMB IT Services Community. She has worked side by side with industry leaders such as Jan Spring, Harry Brelsford, Amy Luby, Jeff Middleton and Frank Hughes in a myriad of roles. She has demonstrated superb networking skills during the past 13 years she has worked in the SMB Channel.
Although she is not technical in nature, she has been extremely successful in the technology community. Her efforts have not gone unnoticed and she has been named to the SMB 150 list in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and Women of the Channel in 2015 and 2016.
Jay Ryerse is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with more than 20 years of experience providing Information Technology and security solutions to businesses of all sizes.
