As IT Product and Service providers, one of the most critical components in our solutions is ensuring proper protection for the equipment that we install and support. One of the ways we do that is by making sure the power being supplied to the equipment is protected and stable.
There are a few companies that provide Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPSes), some more well-known than others. Sadly, after many good years, my experiences regarding poor quality and frustrating technical support with one of those company’s over the last few years led me to consider other vendor-partners. This led me to Eaton Corporation and eventually to Jeff Kennedy and Mike Farrell.
Jeff will tell us a bit about Eaton, then will cover the product lines and solutions, including solutions for Virtualization, and also about their PowerAdvantage Partner Program. Jeff will also answer any questions you might have.
Jeff has extensive knowledge of the UPS line and has worked for Eaton for 4 years, in various roles. He began as a member of their field service scheduling/dispatch team, responsible for scheduling their field service engineers for maintenance and emergency repairs on their UPS equipment. From there Jeff moved into an inside service sales role, working with their end user customers/resellers in maintaining their service contract coverage on their UPS equipment. Finally, as of January 2012 Jeff moved into his current role as the IT Channel Inside Sales Manager for the western portion of the US. In this role Jeff works to bring new partners into our Power Advantage Program and discuss the benefits of the Eaton product line.
