March 11th Meeting ~ SolarWinds Backup & Data Recovery

It’s been a while since you may have seen an invitation to one of our meetings as we have been adjusting to the various changes in “Version 3.0” of our membership and meetings formats.  We’re excited to once again extend our meeting invitation to our Technology Wizards Friends and hope you can join us!

We now meet in person only once every 3 months for a 2 hour meeting, and the 2 months in-between we meet online for 90 minutes.  Our meeting times have changed as well as the length of our meetings.

Our online meetings begin promptly at 11:30 am and end about 1:00 pm. Advanced registration is required for all attendees.

Our March meeting will be an online meeting – Wednesday, March 11th.

Technology Wizards member Geoff Birkemeier secured a great presentation and presenter for our March 11th meeting!!! (Kudos to Geoff!!!)

This meeting will be an “Online” meeting, and will begin on-time at 11:30 am and will last 90 minutes – concluding by 1:00 pm.

So grab your lunch and join the session a little early to be ready to go.

Our Technology Wizards Great Idea / Tech Talk will be presented by Rusty Lee.

This 5 to 15 minute segment features one of our members sharing a business, marketing or technical tip that they have found to be very helpful or valuable in their business.  Rusty has volunteered to be our presenter for March, and will be discussing Hardware Security Keys.

Feature Presentation:

SolarWinds Backup & Data Recovery – Lewis Pope, Senior Sales Engineer and Patrick Jamison, Senior Sales Team Member

Backup & Data Recovery without the cost and complexity!

Simplify, modernize, economize!

SolarWinds® Backup provides a cloud-first backup service designed for data protection of servers, workstations, critical business documents, and Office 365® Exchange™ services, all managed from a centralized web-based dashboard.  We offer backup built for business, not a lightweight consumer-grade product.  While we are also file- and folder-based, SolarWinds is designed for fast full-image recovery, offering a wide variety of recovery options, including bare-metal restore and physical to virtual recovery.

·         Backing up to the cloud isn’t an afterthought with SolarWinds; it’s our starting point.

·         Backups and recoveries are optimized to send a fraction of your total data over the WAN.

·         Optional Local Hard Copy On-Site using your own hardware (e.g. USB, NAS, or a full standby server) parallel backups designed to provide a second, local copy for faster recovery at no additional costs.

·         No need to install the application on a local server – it’s a hosted SaaS solution.

·         No need to buy, provision, or manage local storage for your backups. Your backups are protected with AES-256 encryption and stored in our private cloud.

·         No need to pay for or maintain proprietary appliances.

·         Cloud-first backup with TrueDelta™ deduplication, compression and WAN optimization.

·         Physical-to-virtual recovery is great for DR testing.

·         Designed for continuous recovery.
