November 12th Meeting ~ Business Communication Skills
with Speaker, Author, and Coach Alexis Mason
During Alexis’ presentation you’ll learn about:
- Business Communication Skills
- Why Network?
- GRIT
- Your Best Resources for Success in Business Communication
- The Softer Side of Communication
“Come with all your biases and reasons why communication is not important to a Technology Wizard. Ask Alexis any question about why she is convinced you need those skills. Let’s see how convincing and persuasive she is.”
Alexis Mason is a retired educator who spent a happy and satisfying career convincing students they needed what she was “selling”; in spite of what they really thought about math, writing, reading, and especially communication. She promises very little readin’, writin’ or ‘rithmetic today, but a whole lot of reasons why communication skills are important in every career.
She and her husband Dave are active in their church, in music, and in Toastmasters. She’s a 5 time Distinguished Toastmaster – the highest level possible in the Toastmaster program.
Lunch will be provided for the first few minutes of the meeting, so get there early!
PARKING: Please park in the lot between NW 15th & NW 16th, NW Kearney and NW Lovejoy with the entrance on Kearney Street. There is a fee to park. Also, if there is an attendant there, tell him/her you are a Microsoft meeting attendee. The lot is located underneath I-405. Plan to arrive early to find parking.
I’m looking forward to seeing you all at the meeting!
